CLAN PUPPY CRUSADES

CALLING EDINBURGH’S MOST AWESOME PUPS….

  • Are you a young dog (4-12 months old), living in the beautiful city of Edinburgh?

  • Would you like to make a small group of new doggy friends, young and old?

  • Would you like to explore some beautiful locations this city has to offer a young pup?

  • Would you like the opportunity to play some great games – including scent games to test your awesome sniffing skills?

  • Would you like to learn how to settle? (ok, this might seem a bit boring to a young pup but your human will love you for it and we know you love it when your human is happy!)

  • Would you like to learn how to interact well with other dogs so they want to play with you?

If the answer to any of these questions is yes, please get your human to read the rest of this page….

OK, LET’S TALK GROWTH PLATES...

When your dog is young, their bodies are still growing and developing. Their bones are surrounded by soft cartilage tissue, usually at the end of longer bones and this cartilage is what we commonly call growth plates. As your dog gets older, these growth plates close up and solidify. Injuries to your dog whilst these growth plates are in the soft stage (usually whilst they are under a year old) can cause long term damage and pain for them, plus heartache for you. That is precisely why we don’t accept dogs under 12 months old on our Mini Clan Crusades, Clan Adventure Days or Clan Chieftain’s Crusades.

However, we are excited to announce that we are now launching our CLAN PUPPY CRUSADES – a service tailored specifically for your young dog, where we give them a great experience whilst protecting those vital growth plates!

WHAT IS A CLAN PUPPY CRUSADE?

Every MONDAY afternoon we will be providing an exclusive crusade, specifically tailored to puppies. Our Clan Puppy Crusades will be very small groups, often in the company of one or two older dogs who will help them learn good dog etiquette. These walks will combine on lead walking suited to their age, with practising basic commands, scent games and ‘settling’ (one of the most important skills your young dog can learn!) Once your young dog reaches 12 month’s old, they will be eligible to graduate onto our renowned Mini Clan Crusades with the rest of the Clan!

HOW CAN I APPLY FOR MY PUP TO JOIN THE CLAN?

Spaces for this new service are extremely limited as small group sizes are crucial to the experience being the right one for your beloved pup.
